Big Changes

Posted by Bill Gillette on

U-Man Power has moved from Townsend. We just found that being a six month shop was not profitable and we can also serve most of our clientele better by moving closer to them in Maryville.

We apologize to all of our local Townsend customers and the tourist community. We know that Townsend NEEDS us, but we cannot support the high overhead of running a business in a town that is only open for half a year.

Currently we have closed the shop and hope to be in a new shop by early August. Our new business model will be centered on sales and service of recumbents and e-bikes and associated accessories ONLY as well as increasing our online presence and shipping recumbents and e-bikes directly.  Our new Dominator e-bike will be focused on outdoors and hunting enthusiasts enabling them to get into areas banned to internal combustion engine powered bikes and ATVs.

We will do most business by appointment only but will have two days of public access at the new location in Maryville. We anticipate that we will be in the downtown Maryville or Midland Plaza area of Alcoa. We are currently examining leases at several places.

Keep tuned. We are STILL seeing people by appointment for servicing their trikes etc. as well as doing on site custom demos for customers in the Greenbelt park by appointment.
